Smoked SPG is Third Coast Pitmaster's newest offering. Most people in the BBQ world are familiar with SPG. For those who aren't, SPG stands for Salt, Pepper, and Garlic. And that is what you get with this seasoning blend! However, while most SPG seasonings end there, we just knew we had to bring more to the table. Afterall, we don't just provide bold Texas flavors.....we provide them with a unique twist. And that is exactly what our Smoked SPG does. Like most other seasoning companies, we built our own proprietary blend of salt, pepper, and garlic. However, that is where the similarities end. Here at Third Coast Pitmaster, we view wood smoke as a tangible ingredient to be used with just as much care and pride as all of our other ingredients. Because of this, our 100% kosher salt is carefully cold smoked for 12 hours over maple and white oak bourbon wood. Then, our granulated garlic is very carefully cold smoked for 6 hours over a blend of maple, hickory, and cherry wood. We combine this with a shot of premium Tellicherry peppercorns to provide a smokey sweetness imbued into the clean bodied salt while the more robust flavor of garlic and peppercorn is capable of standing up to the intensity of hickory that is kept in check by the addition of maple and cherry. The end result is a smoked SPG seasoning that can be added to pretty much everything for that perfect touch of smokey SPG flavor. Whether you are searing up some burgers or are making a quick batch of veggies for dinner, our Smoked SPG is the perfect seasoning for everything!
Flavor Profile:
First, just take a nice big whiff of the seasoning. The nose offers an amazing complexity of smoke and spicy peppercorn that can only be achieved by treating the wood as a proper ingredient. There are sweet and fruity notes up front from the maple and cherry wood along with the unmistakable spicy fruit notes from the Tellicherry peppercorns. This transitions into a solid roasted garlic flavor that brings with it the intensity of hickory paired with a much more subtle fruity note from the cherry wood. The garlic and hickory finally rounds out with the clean flavor of salt that slowly fades away and brings you back to the fruity spice of the Tellicherry peppercorns that started the flavor journey.

Tips:
- Add Smoked SPG to veggies and the kids will surely gobble them up
- Sprinkle Smoked SPG onto french fries/tots as soon as they come out of the oven/fryer.

This product is sold by weight, not volume. As a result, your shaker may not be filled all the way to the top. However, rest assured that each shaker has been carefully weighed so that you receive a minimum of 8 oz of seasoning. Some shakers may contain slightly more than 8 oz. But none will contain less.
